Kettle Korn at this week's Market!

We are continuing to see some great additions to our farmers market and Nick Pfeifer is the latest addition who will be selling his Kettle Korn made on the spot! All kids love a bag of Kettle Korn, so be sure to bring the whole family. Also pick up local oysters, fresh roasted coffee, produce, desserts and more. Enjoy live music provided by guitarist Kim Merrill and then grab dinner at one of the wonderful Marketplace restaurants!

The Lowcountry’s BIGGEST 8K is just around the corner!

This USATF sanctioned running festival for all ages has a competitive 8K Run and 5K Run, a 5K Fun Walk and a 1/4 mile Kid’s Fun Run. The evening is capped off by a traditional Lowcountry Oyster Roast.

The event is located in the village of Habersham and benefits Riverview Charter School in Beaufort.
Our mission is to host a fun, competitive and memorable annual event for Beaufort.

The winds were a little too high for our tents last week, but the market will be back in full force this Friday! We'll have great live music provided by Billy Drysdale from 4:30-6:30. High Oyster Season and New Cheese!

This is the peak of oyster season and Frank Roberts tells us that this mild winter has produced some of the best tasting and biggest oysters he has seen. Also, you'll find a new type of cheese offered from Flat Creek Lodge called Pimenta Vermelha. This is a new version of a Pepper Jack. Winter Season, Part II

This Friday marks the beginning of the second half of the winter season at the market. Our seasons are scheduled out in 12-week segments, which allows us to bring in new food vendors every 12 weeks as some vendors' products go out of season. That means we'll have some new faces at this week's market!

We'll continue to offer all the great variety that you have come to expect at the Habersham Farmers Market. For the next 12 weeks, some of the new products to be on the lookout for are Perogis, Crepes, Shrimp Gumbo, Beef Jerky and more. Because of the Christmas holiday, we will not have a Farmers Market this Friday. We will resume our weekly market on December 30th from 4-7PM. Last Farmers Market before Christmas!

This week’s market will be your last chance to pick up items for your Christmas dinner or gifts from local craftspeople. Some food ideas that would last until Christmas would be a pasture raised frozen beef roast from MiBek Farms, salad greens from Brant Family Farms, Shelled pecans for a Christmas pie from Seabrook Grove, Christmas Blend Coffee from Cup-to-Cup, oranges and grapefruits for Christmas breakfast from Walnut Hill Acres, cheesecakes as snacks from BabyCakes (they can be frozen), and there are many more.

Habersham Holiday Farmers Market & Charity Run!

The Habersham Marketplace is very pleased to be hosting the Trot for Tots 5k Run and Tot Walk this Friday, December 2 at 5PM. This event is a class project for students at USC-Beaufort benefiting the US Marine Corps Reserves' Toys for Tots program. Come out and support our local students’ effort and help to raise money and donations for a worthwhile charity!

The 5k run will follow a course through the neighborhood similar to that of the Beaufort Twilight Run.
Please note: the neighborhood streets WILL NOT BE CLOSED.
Please use caution if you choose to drive between 5-6PM on Friday evening and yield to the runners.

The course map can be downloaded here.

Market Street, however, WILL BE CLOSED for the event and for a great holiday Farmers Market. With all of the activities going on, we encourage all of you to come hang out in the Habersham Marketplace.

Make sure and bring the kids to see Santa!

4-7PM – Habersham Farmers Market and special Christmas Craft Market in the Street
4-7PM – Mike Gabriel with the Bulldog Blues Band will be playing on the stage

A Special Christmas Market This Friday!

Jazz on the Lawn Night Is Almost Here!

Join Habitat for Humanity's Women Build Program for Jazz on the Lawn, a benefit concert, on Sunday, November 13 at the Habersham Marketplace. All proceeds benefit LowCountry Habitat for Humanity's current building project: The Women Build House.

Beaufort's own Blue Mudd will be providing the entertainment, from 4:00 until 6:00 pm, and the Marketplace restaurants will be serving up menu favorites for concertgoers. The ReStore truck will also be at the event to accept donations.

Bring a chair, some refreshments and enjoy the sounds of Jazz in the Habersham Marketpalce!

The Third Annual Habersham Harvest Festival is HERE!

The Third Annual Habersham Harvest Festival is this Saturday and The Marketplace is bursting with anticipation! Thank you to Hargray Communications for being the Premier Sponsor of this fantastic community event!

The Habersham Harvest Festival boasts a one-day regionally expanded farmer’s market (over 50 vendors this year!) and is a celebration of food, fun, art and music. Less Than Two Weeks Until Harvest Festival 2011!

The Third Annual Habersham Harvest Festival is less than two weeks away, so mark your calendars for Saturday, October 22, from 12- 6 p.m.

The festival boasts a one day regionally expanded farmer’s market and is a celebration of food, fun, art and music. Entertainment includes live music by main stage band Lowcountry Boil, dancing, hayrides, face painting, obstacle courses, a pumpkin patch, outdoor games and more. Vendors span the state of South Carolina and merchants of the marketplace transform the village with whimsical, fall décor. A few surprise guests are sure to add to the excitement that is Autumn in the Lowcountry! There is no cost to enter and food and drink will be available for purchase.

Plan to be whisked away and delighted by the sights, sounds and activities of a celebration that has quickly earned the reputation as the annual Fall street party for Beaufort County and beyond.

"Blues and Brews" This Friday Night!

The Habersham Marketplace in Beaufort, SC, will host a “Blues and Brews” night during this week's First Fridays' event October 7, beginning at 4 p.m. In addition to an expanded farmer’s market and arts, crafts and specialty food vendors, the event will feature live music by Blues artist Jeff Norwood and various craft beer offerings. 'First Fridays' events are part of an ongoing event and entertainment series that is free to attend and organized by the merchants of The Habersham Marketplace.

Blues artist Jeff Norwood is a South Carolina native who can be found performing weekly throughout the Southeastern United States. Norwood is an approved artist on the South Carolina Arts Commission Artist Roster for Performing Arts in Education and presents programs and workshops on roots music and its origins throughout the state. He has performed at several notable festivals: The former King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena, AK, Piccolo Spoleto in Charleston, SC, The Juke Joint Fest in Clarksdale, MS, the former Riverwalk Blues Festival in Ft. The “Blues and Brews” event schedule is as follows:

• Expanded Farmer’s Market – 4-7 p.m. (sponsored by Energy One)

• Kid’s activities, including Jumpin Jaxx bouncer and outdoor games, 5 – 8 p.m.

• Craft brews and specialty food available for purchase from Habersham Marketplace restaurants and regional vendors and distributors, 4p.m. until
